Horseback Riding Excursion
During our horseback riding excursions, we explore a series of working cattle ranches west of San Miguel. We discover these ranches, prairies, and canyons on horseback in the most comprehensive way possible, with scenery that is breathtaking in every direction.
Sunset Rides in San Miguel
Step back in time and explore the historical center of this magical colonial town on horseback – a truly unique experience! Rides are available anytime, although we strongly recommend experiencing them at sunset. During this adventure, we will enjoy San Miguel’s distinctive urban landscape from a different perspective, heading to a nearby panoramic viewpoint to admire the breathtaking sunsets that this region of Mexico is famous for.
Hikes in the Canyon
The first part of this invigorating adventure takes us down along the canyon bottom for an amazing canyon/river run. Rest stops are scheduled along the way at the most scenic locations, so that guests can take full advantage of the most outstanding photo opportunities. The views from the cliffs upon reaching the canyon’s rim are spectacular in every direction and are sure to take your breath away. The best thing of all might very well be the delicious, home-cooked meal that the ranch women prepare for us at the end of our incredible journey!

ATVs and 4x4 All-Terrain Vehicles
A fun and exciting way to see San Miguel’s surroun-ding countryside is by taking a guided tour in all-terrain vehicles (ATVs). Discover the roads that run along the banks of the Presa Allende and through several rural communities like San Miguel Viejo. Explore historic haciendas, chapels, and other places of interest, while enjoying the varying landscapes with different colors and textures, which change significantly depending on the season.
Hot Air Balloon Flights
Experience the excitement as we take you to the edge of town to witness the prepara-tions of the balloons and equipment. Once the Captain gives the signal, we launch into the sky, effortlessly floating over San Miguel de Allende and its beautiful surroun-ding countryside. Sometimes, we glide just meters from the ground and treetops, while other times we soar high above the clouds, riding different air currents. On occasion, when the winds are favorable, we fly directly over the historic center of San Miguel, providing a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of its magnificent churches and ornate spires.
Cañada del Virgen
Join our expert guides on an exploration of the remarkable monuments left behind by an ancient civilization that once thrived at the northernmost limits of Mesoamerica. With over 1,200 registered archaeological sites in the state of Guanajuato, Ca˛ada de La Virgen stands out as one of the most important and highly visited. Discover how this site served as a vital sacred ceremonial center and burial ground for a select elite. Additionally, learn about its function as a precise solar and lunar clock and calendar.

Explore Guanajuato, once the most important mining city in colonial times and now a vibrant multicultural center. Famous for hosting the Cervantino International Festival and home to the prestigious University of Guanajuato, the city holds a rich history. Our tour begins at the P˛pila viewpoint, offering breathtaking views of the city. We then embark on a journey through the unique tunnels and underground streets in our vehicle before starting our walking tour through the main streets and alleys. Accompanied by our knowledgeable guide, we delve into the art, culture, and history of this wonderful city.
Mineral de Pozos
Experience a journey full of mystique as we explore Mineral de Pozos. Transport yourself to the site's golden age, when large foreign capitals extracted vast amounts of gold and silver from the earth. Visit the Jesuit ovens of Santa Brigada and learn about the extraction, processing, and commercialization of mercury, a precious element in viceregal mining. Strolling through the town itself evokes a sense of a bygone era, allowing you to immerse yourself in history.
QUERETARO CITY TOUR
Embark on a unique journey through Queretaro City. Explore the historical Cerro de las Campanas, where Emperor Maximiliano de Habsburgo was shot in 1867. Then, marvel at the aqueduct, an international symbol of the city.
